Becca, Adam, and their 5-year-old daughter Acie are a perfect family until their father is killed in a tragic accident during a 4th of July celebration. Becky, who is grieving, decides that she must leave the family property and all of its memories. She leaves Acie with her grandfather Ben and pays a visit to a school friend, June. June, with the best of intentions, provides Becky with plenty of distractions from her family life. Becky begins drinking and making other self-destructive choices as a result of her anger at G*d and loss of faith. Ben then threatens to keep Acie until Becky is back on track after she is arrested. Becky's faith is restored and she is reunited with her family after a chance encounter with a traveler in a bus station.
