Murieta
Joaquin Murieta, a Mexican peasant, and his wife travel north to California in search of riches, but they only encounter one white person, a marshal, who befriends them and becomes their buddy. However, after Murieta is assaulted and robbed by bandits, and his wife is slain by the bandits, Murieta seeks vengeance by creating a gang of outlaws that pillage the surrounding countryside and towns. Murieta is eventually trapped by the marshal, who persuades him to abandon his crusade and return to his home. However, while Murieta is subsequently wounded and recuperating, his gang unleashes a reign of terror on the city without his knowledge, ultimately culminating to his murder at the hands of the marshal in a last battle.
