Jeff Voth has been leading his kids and other groups of men on an annual hiking trip into the Colorado Rocky Mountains for the past 35 years, and he is still going strong. This journey has gone down in history as a famous, macho standard. Life-skills training, trout fishing, great physical weariness, and the sharing of deep heartfelt secrets in a setting that was at times beautiful, at others horrifying, have all left an indelible mark on the minds of these men. It is likely that each of them would tell you that they have been eternally altered... that they have been forged into a more profound and healthier masculine place... that they have become better men as a result of the journey.
