Christie Parson has recurring nightmares about the death of her father, who drowned in a swimming pool. Christie's mother believes it was an accident, but Christie believes it was intentional murder. Christie then notices an unidentified figure dressed in a cape tailing her and harassing her. Nobody believes her until her boyfriend sees the figure for himself. The figure is hiding in the town mortuary, which is owned by Hank Andrews and his demented son, Paul, who are both attempting to create rituals to resurrect Dr. Parson's spirit. But who is this figure, and why is he bothering Christie?
