In the 1970s, a scary movie called The Dark Beneath came out. The movie's director and star, Ted Radford, has a mental breakdown and is taken to a mental hospital. His doctor tries to help him feel better by showing him his favorite movie. The psychiatrist Dr. Wayne isn't sure about this idea, but he goes home for the night. When he returns the next morning, the place is a bloodbath, but none of the bodies were found. The movie jumps ahead five years to a local theater showing The Dark Beneath at midnight.
