On October 9th, 2019, Trafalgar Releasing will release S&M2, a commemoration of Metallica's breakthrough S&M concerts and album recorded with the San Francisco Symphony. See them perform with the Symphony once more as great conductor Michael Tilson Thomas leads a segment of the program, beginning off his final season in San Francisco. The events, which were recorded live on September 6th and 8th, also commemorated the opening of the state-of-the-art Chase Center, a historic addition to the city's waterfront. This theatrical release, which includes Metallica classics from the 1999 S&M release as well as symphonic versions of new songs, allows millions of fans worldwide to transcend time and experience the show as a modern-day big-screen concert.
