Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

A young barn owl named Soren is taken captive by owls that work at St. Aggie's, which is purportedly an orphanage but is actually a training ground for owlets to be trained as soldiers. He and his new pals make their way to the island of Ga'Hoole, where they join the heroic and sage owls in their battle against the army that is being assembled by the evil rulers of St. Aggie's. The screenplay was adapted from the first three novels in the series.
