Creteil, a tower-block suburb outside of Paris, is where Nela Salah grew up and has long had aspirations of becoming an attorney. Upon arriving at the university, she is greeted by Pierre Mazard, a lecturer noted for his outlandish antics and errors, on her first day. He agrees to help Nela prepare for a high-profile competition in courtroom eloquence in order to apologise for a past transgression. Pierre, who is both cynical and demanding, could be exactly what Sophie needs as a mentor... But first, both parties must overcome their preconceptions.
