Journey to the Far Side of the Sun
A planet is discovered that orbits the sun in the same direction as Earth but is on the exact opposite side of the sun, rendering it invisible from Earth. The European Space Exploration Council has decided to deploy American astronaut Glenn Ross and British scientist John Kane to the other planet by spaceship. Ross awakens following a terrible crash-landing to discover Kane is near death and they have obviously returned to Earth, as demonstrated by the presence of the Council director and his team. When he is released into his wife's custody, he quickly discovers that not everything is as it appears.
