John Light, one of the most dangerous inmates at Arizona's State Penitentiary, is played by rookie Michael Ochotorena in this true-to-life prison film. The acceptance of Christ by John in a prison bible study, on the other hand, has surprised both guards and convicts alike. He is eager to share his newfound beliefs with the rest of the world once he is released from detention center. The outer world, however, is scared of him since he appears more like a thug than a theologian. It is only his meek and mild Christian mentor Matt Garrett (Michael Sigler) and his no-nonsense parole officer that stand between him and incarceration (Dean Cain). A life-or-death struggle for John begins when he teams up with two men who have never thrown a punch before.
