France, 1425. In the little village of Domremy, eight-year-old Jeannette tends to her flock during the Hundred Years' War. One day, she expresses to her companion Hauviette that she cannot endure to witness the English's cruelty. Madame Gervaise, a nun, attempts to reason with the young girl, but Jeannette is prepared to take up arms for the liberation of the Kingdom of France and the saving of souls. Carrying her faith with her, she will become Joan of Arc.
