Some people die from an unknown disease that hasn't been found in a small town in Europe. Sisters Ayia and Mirra live there. Following the loss of their mother, the younger sister is struck down with a serious illness. Ayia turns to a family friend and parish priest, Father Herman, after realizing that traditional medicine will do little to improve her sister's illness.
