Ray Livingston is the "freelance writer" behind Brooklyn's infamous blog, "Occasionally Dating Black Women." Ray is chafing from an overextended stay in New York, romantic ennui, and a stagnant writing career, despite his well-written, if not controversial, blog. After a particularly bad week, he goes on a rant and harasses a beautiful random passerby, only to discover that it's Rochelle Marseille, one of New York's rising authors.
