Phil Broker is a former member of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) who is currently going through a difficult time as a result of the tragic consequences that followed an operation he led against a motorcycle gang that resulted in the death of his supervisor's son. His wife died not too long ago, and he is now solely responsible for raising their daughter, Maddy, who is nine years old. He makes the selfless decision to give up the tumultuous and demanding lifestyle of thrill-seeking for the sake of his girlfriend Maddy and moves to a quiet rural village. His daughter defends herself against a boy at school who had been bullying her, and this puts in motion a chain of events that ultimately leads to him having a direct confrontation with the local meth drug lord. The fact that he was a member of the biker gang in the past adds another layer of complexity to the situation.
