Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes

A 19th century maritime tragedy stranded a man and lady in the wilds of Africa. They have a boy in their treehouse because the lady is pregnant. In the chaos that follows, both parents are killed by an ape family that stumbles onto the residence. A female ape raises the young child as her son in place of her own deceased infant. Captain Phillippe D'Arnot finds the man who thinks he's an ape 20 years later. He believes the evidence in the tree home proves he is the Earl of Greystoke's direct descendant, and sets out to bring him back to civilisation.
