Balaraju, the village chief, lives with his wife Baby, two sons Chandrasekhar Rao and Bangari, and two daughters in his village. He assists Chandrasekhar in becoming a doctor and assists in the construction of a community hospital. Chandrasekhar returns home with his lover Kausalya, who is also a doctor, on the first day of the film's premiere. Both express a desire to marry and live in another country, which irritates Balaraju and leads to their breakup. Chandrasekhar, now a famous doctor in London, tells his son Abhiram and daughter Indu the incident 25 years later. Abhiram makes the decision to return to Balaraju and try to reconcile with his father. He joins his friend Bunny at the airport and rides Bunny's bike to the village the next day.
