Ghosts of Mississippi

The final trial of Medgar Evers' assassin, Bryon De La Beckwith, is shown in Ghosts of Mississippi. First, the murder and subsequent trials, which both resulted in a hung jury, are discussed. In order to bring Beckwith to trial for the third time in 30 years, Bobby DeLaughter, the district attorney, forms an alliance with Myrlie Evers, the wife of Medgar Evers.
