Los Angeles, 1949. Mickey Cohen, a ruthless mob king who was born in Brooklyn, runs the show in this town. He profits from the illegal activities that take place in this city, including the sale of drugs, firearms, and prostitutes, and if he gets his way, he will also control every wire bet that is placed west of Chicago. And he does all of this while being protected not only by his own paid goons, but also by police officers and politicians who are in his pocket and under his control. Even the most courageous and battle-hardened police officer would be shaken to their core by this... except, perhaps, for the small, covert group of LAPD outsiders led by Sgt. John O'Mara and Jerry Wooters who have banded together in an attempt to destroy Cohen's world.
