He wants to bring some fun to the soldiers in World War II with the help of singer and dancer Dixie Leonhard, who is from the US. They become a perfect team and go on a tour from North Africa to the Pacific to act for "the boys." Later, they keep working on their project, but when Silver gets involved in McCarthy's campaign and Eddie fires him, Dixie, too, turns away from him and doesn't want to be with him.
