Farewell, My Lovely
A private investigator in Los Angeles Ex-con Moose Malloy hires Philip Marlowe (Robert Mitchum) to find him a girlfriend. While investigating the murder of a client and the theft of a jade necklace, Marlowe becomes entangled with seductress Helen Grayle (Charlotte Rampling) and uncovers a web of dark secrets best kept hidden. Farewell, My Lovely is a neo noir remake of the 1944 film, but it adheres more closely to Raymond Chandler's novel.
