Exodus
The topic for this year is the establishment of the state of Israel. The action opens on a ship carrying thousands of Jewish immigrants destined for Israel, who are being unloaded in the Greek island of Cyprus. After an Intelligence officer is successful in bringing them back on board their ship, they are forced to deal with the British, who blockade the harbor until they can negotiate with them. The second section is concerned with the declaration of independence and the subsequent fighting.
