Chris, a young, independent filmmaker from Kerala, is inspired by Louis Malle's 1969 documentary Calcutta and desires to remake the film himself. To complete his documentary, he relocates to Kolkata with his wife Anita, who is also an actress. While filming of the documentary is already in process, an outbreak of the Corona virus breaks out in India, and the producer withholds the monies he had previously agreed to release. As the government-imposed lockdown begins, Chris and Anita are confined to their rented residence in Kolkata. Chris plans to make a film on his own marriage without Anita's knowledge in order to release his pent-up anger.
