What was supposed to be a routine transit mission for the crew of the Genesis ultimately results not only in the crew's deaths but also in the loss of a key military prisoner. There is currently a state of emergency affecting the population of the world. They are currently engaged in combat with a foe that is significantly more powerful than them: an extraterrestrial race known as the Cnidarians. Following a deadly attack on a military ship known as the Vendetta, USSM special forces were successful in capturing their first Cnidarian prisoner, who was given the identification number of 71099. However, Ediolon is more frequently referred to as the phantom throughout the entire fleet. After coming to the conclusion that an official military transport would be too easy of a target for their adversary, the United States Space Marines (USSM) enlisted the assistance of the freelance ship Genesis, which was commanded by Nathaniel J. Rhys, in order to covertly transport the prisoner to the high security prison that was situated on the moon of Mars known as Demos. There was no sign of the ship when it finally arrived.
