Ellen Grange is saved by a frontier scout from a pursuing Apache gang and returned to Willard Grange. An Army cavalry regiment has hired him to scout. Willard, Ellen, and their baby boy, Toller, a 10th Cavalry veteran, are all along for the voyage. Chata, an Apache chief and Ellen's baby's grandfather, traps them in a canyon. Willard gets kidnapped. Jess flees and returns with reinforcements just in time for the rescue. Willard Grange is the man Jess has been hunting.
