One day before the opening of Touto Line, a new train line for the Tokyo Metro, Yuichiro Asakura, the Governor of Tokyo, receives a threatening letter from an unknown sender. When the Touto Railway is officially dedicated, Conan Edogawa and the Detective Boys are driven through the ceremony by Professor Agasa and pass beneath the line. As soon as Conan learns of the threatening letter, he immediately finds explosives attached to the Touto railway; by using his original voice to tell the authorities as Shinichi Kudo, he is able to stop the train and reroute traffic away from the explosives, preventing any fatalities.
