Emily Nichols, a successful business consultant, has missed every family gathering this year, so spending Christmas with her family is really important to her this year. Her vacation plans are jeopardized when she's forced to team up with a fellow road warrior named Simon Allein after an unfortunate series of events that include delayed public transit, diverted planes and trains that break down, as well as the loss of her personal belongings including her wallet. Emily is more of a Type A planner who despises interruptions and inconveniences, whereas Simon is a more laidback type who looks for the silver lining in every situation. In this way, depending on one another to arrive to their final objective not only challenges their resolve, but it also allows ample opportunity to get acquainted with one another and, perhaps even, fall in love with one another.
