Dark Room
An novelist named Nakata lives with the traumatic memory of the passing of his companion, whose life was cut short quite a few years ago. Nakata's life was cut short at the same time as his partner's. Did they die in a tragic accident, or did they take their own lives? The uncertainty remains. Conscience decides against getting married and having children in order to get away from his remorseful Nakata. Therefore liberated, he begins an obsessive journey of detailed record-keeping, eventually chronicling his activities in the book "The Dark Room." A philosophical paper about the relationship between sexuality and reproduction, as well as the future of humanity.
