Florya, a young guy from Byelorussia, is forced to go against the wishes of his family and join the exhausted Resistance fighters after German forces invade the village where he lives after they have invaded it. There, he strikes up a conversation with a young lady named Glasha, and she agrees to travel with him back to his hometown. Upon his return, Florya discovered that his family and other peasants had been murdered. The fact that he is still alive while being surrounded by the shattered remains of a violent conflict is turning into a nightmare that pits hope against despair.
