Holly, a professor at a small college, has a long history of finding the wrong guy. Holly has done a lot in her life, but when her younger sister tells her she's pregnant, she decides to try harder to find Mr. Right. Another professor, David, is a single father. He is very smart and kind, but Holly doesn't notice him when she and David are put in charge of planning the Christmas Formal. Holly joins the dating website "Cupid's Arrow" because her best friend told her to. There, she meets Josh, a lawyer who just started working at the school. On the surface, he's everything she wants, but he doesn't have much to say beyond his work and how good he looks. Josh and David lived together in college, so Josh asks David to send Holly poems to try and win her over.
