Athletic 12-year-old Maddy (Kristen Stewart) and her father, Tom, share a passion for mountain climbing (Sam Robards). Unfortunately, Tom sustains a spinal injury while climbing Mount Everest, and his family cannot afford the life-saving operation. Maddy chooses to rob a high-security bank in order to fund her father's plan.
