As a politician, Roger has huge plans to propose to his girlfriend at her family's lake property. He meets Todd, a full-time camp counselor with a big heart who wants to be Roger's best friend, and things go horribly wrong from there. Todd becomes Roger's brother-in-law-to-be and sets the stage for a sequence of disastrous occurrences. The more Roger attempts to assert himself in the midst of outlandish fishing excursions and water jetpacks, the more he finds that adjusting to a new family may be more difficult than what he had anticipated.
