For the past 20 years Emma has been blind, yet she is still a gorgeous young woman. Even if recent eye surgery partially restores her vision, she is still experiencing difficulties: she often fails to "remember" the things that have occurred in the past. In the middle of the night, she hears a ruckus above. Shadowy figures are seen descending the stairs as she peers out of her window. When she goes to the police because she believes her neighbor has been murdered, they ask her whether she's sure she didn't see something or if it was just her new eyes playing games.
