"Adam Goldstein was a well-known figure in the 1990s Los Angeles party scene, where he plunged himself into a novel life as DJ AM," writes the author. The music industry's most successful DJ, DJ AM, ascended fast to the top after surmounting numerous challenges such as a problematic family situation and a variety of addictions. As a pioneer of the mashup movement, he rose to become one of the most well-known DJs in the world, earning him the title of "Mashup King." Despite this, he continued to be haunted by the horrors of his past. After escaping death in a plane crash, he succumbed to an overdose, which resulted in his premature death.
