A Small Fortune
Kevin (Stephen Oates) is an Irish Moss farmer who is dedicated to his traditional way of life at the price of a more prosperous existence for himself and his pregnant wife (Liane Balaban). When he discovers a bag of cash washed ashore on the shores of Prince Edward Island, he decides to keep it hidden, which turns his sleepy fishing community into a burgeoning crime scene when the money's owners arrive. A Small Fortune tells the story of one man's struggle to care for his family and the need to let go of old habits in order to understand that money isn't everything. A Blessing from the Sea was adapted from Adam Perry's award-winning short film.
