A Girl on the Shore
Middle school students Keisuke Isobe and Koume Satou reside in a beach village where little happens. However, their position turns unusual when Koume's crush breaks her heart. She begins a "no-strings-attached" relationship with Keisuke, whom she had previously rejected, in order to fill emotional shortages in their life. Being "friends with benefits" becomes problematic, however, as genuine feelings emerge and the implications of their connection begin to affect those around them as well as themselves. Umibe no Onnanoko is a dark comedy about love, relationships, and the emotional cost of a decision made by two teenagers.
